Saturday, October 8th, 2011, from 5 to 8 pm
Starbucks, 60 Bedford Street in Lexington

I go on at 6pm and will play for about 45 or 50 minutes

Performers (in order of appearance):

DJ Parsons " 5pm
Many of us know DJ Parsons as an excellent luthier " he's repaired our guitars and mandolins. Turns out he's also an excellent musician. Combining deft finger style guitar with a voice like smooth sandpaper, DJ know how to make music from inside and out.

Nathan Thompson " 6pm
Songwriter/guitarist/singer Nathan Thompson grew up in the small farming town of Madelia in southern Minnesota. As a child, he played piano and clarinet; his love for jazz guitar came later, leading to a diploma with honors in Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston. His career as a solo singer/songwriter began soon after, and he's been wowing New England audiences ever since. Featuring groove-based melodies and affecting lyrics, Nathan's songs "come from within " I need to deeply connect to whatever I'm writing about."

David G. Moore " 7pm
David Moore is something of an Acoustic Showcase linchpin. He's performed on our "stage" numerous times, and led our recent Blues Jam. We love him! David is originally from Northern Ireland, but he always wanted to emigrate to the US to sing and play guitar when he grew up. His songs are based around guitar arrangements with pop-rock melodic sensibilities. Check out his recent CD " Never The First To Jump " on itunes and Amazon. And stop by the Showcase and hear him in person!
